Meet Laurie

Hi! Welcome to Cafe 301. My name is Laurie Myers, and I am the founder/owner/president of Cafe 301, LLC. Born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, I learned how to cook in my early teens by watching and helping my aunt in her kitchen. I have been told numerous times that I have gifted hands for creating flavorful, unique, and exciting dishes. I love every aspect of food: the smell, texture, and presentation. Mostly, I love to bring people together to share their love and enjoy my cooking.

With a bit of trepidation, I started Laurie’s 717 Catering business in Lancaster in the summer of 2016. I was determined to wow customers with my warmth, love, work ethic, savory soul food dishes, passion for food, and exceptional service. The business blossomed due to the community’s support and acknowledgment of my efforts. Consequently, in 2018 I was encouraged to open a storefront in Columbia, Pa Cafe 301 that would continue to encompass these values. However my decision waived in a new direction in 2022. Thus ending my lease at 301 November 2022. I will continue Cafe 301 via a mobile food truck. Cafe 301 can now come to an area near you!

I remain passionate about cooking from scratch that incorporates flavor, quality, and freshness. My ultimate goal is to bring the community together with my savory southern-style soul food dishes.

In the end, I cannot help but give God all the glory for giving me the courage to take steps to launch my catering business and Cafe 301! Cooking is my God-given talent. I love creating fabulous food with my hands.
